Data retention

01Videos, transcripts and exports

Kept until you delete them or delete your account: no automatic deletion is applied at this time. If a per-plan retention period is introduced, it will be shown on the Pricing page and you will be warned by email 2 days before any deletion.

You can delete a media file, export or project at any time.

02Account

Kept while the account exists. When it is deleted, its content is erased immediately and the email address is removed from the account. The non-reversible fingerprints of the email address and sign-up IP address, used to prevent repeated free-credit claims, are erased 12 months after deletion. A non-reversible fingerprint of the account's internal identifier, kept for at most 40 days outside the database, prevents a backup restore from bringing the account back.

03Security

Ended login sessions (browser, IP address fingerprint): deleted 30 days after they end.

Confirmation, password-reset and account-deletion links: deleted 7 days after use or expiry.

Invitations: deleted 90 days after use, revocation or expiry.

Log of sensitive actions (logins, account changes, administration, with an IP address fingerprint): 12 months.

Abuse-limiting counters: 2 days.

04Email, support and statistics

History of sent emails (address, subject, status): 90 days. An email's content is erased as soon as it is sent, and at most 7 days later if it could not be sent.

Support requests: 12 months after they are closed.

Product statistics (events linked to the account id, without content): 12 months, and deleted immediately with the account.

Cached AI analysis answers (suggested excerpts and titles, not linked to an account): 30 days.

05Backups and technical logs

The database is backed up every night. Backups are encrypted and deleted automatically at most 35 days after they are made: data erased from the Service disappears from every backup within that time. Video files are not part of the backups.

The server's technical logs are rotated automatically as they fill up.

06At our providers

Data sent to Anthropic is deleted by that provider within 30 days, unless flagged as violating its usage policy. Other providers keep data for as long as their service requires, under the agreements concluded with them.
